For two months Nigeria's inflation report said which prices actually moved. Since May it has been printing the shopping basket again
Nigeria's July 2026 CPI report says food drove 6.18 points of the 15.43% headline. That is food's 40.02 basket weight times the headline rate, as are all 26 cells — and NBS itself published real decompositions for March and April before reverting in May.
