Among the rumored additions are a Visual Intelligence section in the Camera app that taps Google image search to identify objects, natural-language photo editing, and improvements to Image Playground's generation quality.
In a notable opening of its ecosystem, Apple is expected to let users set third-party AI services as the default for features such as Writing Tools and Image Playground, rather than tying them solely to Apple's own models. Other anticipated tweaks include bill-splitting in Wallet and additional satellite connectivity in Maps.
